Here we are going to talk about one most loving and popular spicy street food name Lasaniya Batata-Bhungla(spicy garlic flavored potato and fryms)

Garlic flavored, hot and spicy lasaniya batata is a delicious curry if your palate can tolerate the fiery taste of red chillies. However, those who appreciate the spiciness and are ready to go to any length to enjoy the best flavor of garlic and potato sautéed in spices will experience the heavenly delight. One advice though; keep roasted peanuts, or fryums or something sweet and cold handy to soothe your palate immediately.

Batata-Bhungala(Lasaniya Batata-Bhungala) Recipe

Ingredients

  • Boiled potato – Roughly chopped – 1 Bowl
  • Red chillie powder – 1 & 1/2 tbsp can adjust as per taste
  • Turmeric – a pinch
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – As per taste
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Crushed Garlic – 2 tbsp

To Serve

  • Fryums / Bhungla

Instructions

  1. In a cooking pan, add 1 tbsp of oil
  2. After oil is heated, add Crushed Garlic and statue on a low flame for a minute
  3. Add Chopped Potatoes, Salt, Coriander Powder, Turmeric, and Red Chilli Powder and mix well
  4. Cook for about 2-3 minutes till all the spices are properly coated on potatoes, If you feel the mixture is dry, you can add 2-3 tbsp of water to help coat all the spices to potatoes
  5. Take out the curry in a serving dish and serve with fryums
  6. You can also serve this curry with rotis, chappaties, parathas or puris
